Temp-permanent Substitute Placement

There's a dire need for more qualified individuals to work with young children. Nelson Early Learning Services is looking for Substitute Teachers to join our growing team and work in early childhood settings in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Hours are flexible and compensation is based on years of education and experience.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Teach and care for young children (6 weeks - 5 years old) in various settings (child development homes, centers, and school-based programs) 

  • Follow lesson plans and curriculum that ensure consistency, and developmentally appropriate learning, and that encourage children’s engagement and exploration

  • Support with daily routines and behavior guidance
